LOU
Lou contacted me six months before her September wedding date – she’d only managed to get to one bridal shop before our lockdowns began, and had done most of her research online. We arranged a Zoom call to talk through what she did (and didn’t!) like, and then booked her an appointment to travel up from London to see the dresses in person. Lou’s final dress was a bespoke one with the full circle skirt of Chrysanthemum made up in the sand washed silk we us on Angelica. On top we adapted the Bluebell slip dress to create a version that was racer front style, kept the back as a V and covered it in the lace we use for our Hydrangea top.
Lou and Ben had two weddings – one in the UK where they both live together, and one in Australia where Ben’s from and his family still live. Kingdom in Penhurst was the UK venue, and Athol Hall in Sydney the Australian one – both totally stunning.
“It was literally the best day of my life...and I lost count of the number of compliments I got about my dress, you were very much revered! Thank you so so much, I felt like my most beautiful self in it.” Lou
